The Dogwood Arts Festival on Market Square is being held this week, April 11-13.

My Mother and I went yesterday to beat the crowds and the weather. It was a beautiful day even with the wind.

Good art, good food, good music, good people...

More photos after the break.

Enjoy!

Note, there is a gentleman there with Muddy Creek Crafts displaying his wood working skills. Check him out. For those familiar with Gatlinburg history, his ancestory is the from the original artists of the Wood Whittlers.

Its too bad the dogwoods

Its too bad the dogwoods don't bloom 3 weeks later. I think the past 3-4 years its always been cold and rainy. I'm going to try and make it downtown this afternoon before it starts to flurry/rain tonight. Crazy East Tenn weather!

i'm not a fan of street

i'm not a fan of street fairs. too many people, vapors from the meat grilling and portable toilets, traffic, noise and consumer-oriented options. i personally prefer walking the greenways or ijams for spring things to do ..
