After submitting my "thank you", this is what I get back from Mr. Lail:

We haven't done that and your email is appears to be part of a series of chain letters thanking us for something we haven't done and have no plans to do.

What has happened is we modified our registraiton so that infrequent readers will have not have to register.

You may be able to read X number of stories before the wall kicks in.

We're still playing around with what X is.

"Some of our newspaper sites still have full registration, some temporarily have none (like Knoxville) and some allow anywhere from 2-8 views per month without someone being registered."
