Since we're talking about who should drop out and calling for "Superdelegates" to decide the Democratic primary RIGHT NOW, maybe Congress should just go ahead and convene the Electoral College and send McCain packing. Here's why:

National Polls (RCP Average):

Clinton v. McCain: Clinton 44.8%, McCain 45.8%
Obama v. McCain: Obama 44.6%, McCain 44.4%

Well within the margin of error. Clearly McCain has not made his case, despite the benefit of his party's incumbency, early coronation, the alleged weakness of his opponents, and the endorsement of sitting president George W. Bush.

Popular vote (Green Papers):

McCain: 7,441,267
Dem: 27,815,851 (Obama: 13,961,775, Clinton: 13,854,076)

Wow. Not too many ways you can spin these numbers. Clearly, McCain is toast and should drop out for the sake of unity, etc. etc.

Obama has become

the black candidate. Hillary has always been the angry woman candidate, now she's just the old angry woman candidate. In a general election, they'll both be toast.

Not trying to be PC here, but honestly, that's the way it is.

McCain dropping out....

...so I am sure you have someone to replace him?......

I might add....Hillary is now the old angry lying woman candidate. How do you know Hil is lying? She opens her mouth.

Can someone here tell me why ANY WOMAN would take her only child into sniper fire?

Does Batboy have any opinion

Does Batboy have any opinion about McCain? It has been awhile since we last heard from him. Just wondering... :)

Heh. Batboy isn't available

Heh. Batboy isn't available to comment today, but I will be sure to get him on record.

Great Idea

I second the solicitation of Batboy's opinion.

Well, to be fair....

...John McCockroach isn't the compulsive liar that's damaging the Democratic party and making a complete and total fool of herself.

If he was, I'd agree that he should drop out.

In the mean time, there's two reasons I want him to stay.
1) I've saved lots of information on McCain and I really am looking forward to Blog Swarming his decrepit thieving ass.

2) His name isn't Bush or Clinton.

Turnaround

I think McCain could start to turn things around by getting a nice blog ad here at KnoxViews.

I'd rather be cycling.

That's exactly

That's exactly how he can win Batboy's endorsement.
And that ain't no small potatoes.
Lots of people value what Batboy has to say on current issues.

If McCain dropped out,

What would Republicans do with all those "Four More Years" bumper stickers and yard signs recycled from '04?
