This morning, the New York Times reported that Senator Clinton is launching what even her aides admit is a "kitchen sink" bombardment of negative attacks against Barack.
This is the same stale, Washington playbook that has driven so many Americans away from the political process.
Obama would NEVER run a negative ad against his opponent because he's above all that, right?
Seriously, I'll be glad when there's a nominee. Obama should just sit back, chill, and ride the big mo train on in to the Denver station. Clinton's political obituary has already been printed on the front page of the Sunday New York Times. What's he so worried about?

Maybe she's the one who should chill -- or at least offer more than non-denial "denials" of crap like the Somali picture/Drudge emission. She's going out on a low note.
This isn't the first time Hillary has used Drudge to gin up enthusiasm for something.
What's the big deal about the picture? There is a well-known racist campaign out there to portray Barack Obama as some kind of Muslim Manchurian candidate. This picture could help "reinforce" that image among ignorant people. The Clintons know that and so they circulated it to Drudge, knowing it would get wide media play.
As I recall, the Republican Congress cared a lot more. Yeehaw! They hit the big time. Bill still came out as one of the most popular Presidents of all time.

You got me there. If he didn't mind being the only impeached president, why should it bother anybody else?
And technically, a bill of impeachment against Nixon passed in committee and almost made it to the floor before he did the right thing. (If I'm not mistaken.)

i think the issue is if HRC staffers are flogging material like the turban picture to someone of Drudge's questionable ilk. If her staff had nothing to do with it, that's one thing.
But for the record, Drudge attributed the dissemination of the photo to Clinton staffers. That citation did not come from the Obama campaign. To cry foul when the Obama campaign calls the Clinton campaign on it is disingenuous.

It's often easier to blame your opponent than look within one's own campaign for where things went awry.
But sometimes, people see things a little more clearly. Clinton supporter Leon Panetta on Clinton campaign (from NOT the NY Times, btw):
“It seems to me like they rolled the dice on Super Tuesday, thinking that would end it,” he said. “And when it didn’t end it, they didn’t have a plan. And when it came to the caucus states, they did have a plan—which was to ignore them. I think those were serious mistakes.”

Broadening the subject to the GOP, McCain is getting 'Attaboys for rebuking the asshole who introduced him at a rally today by ridiculing Obama. He's been praised for being a standup, high road kind of guy.

Although a number of things nudged me to vote for HRC after Richardson & Edwards dropped out, I think I would have had a hard time voting for her after she compared Obama to GWB.
That's even worse than accusing someone of wearing a turban.

It is an election, you are going to have the negative as well as the positive. Nothing really wrong with it as long as it is on the issues and not ridiculous like the stupid "plagarism" attack on Obama and the lies about Barack's religion or patriotism and comments on Hillary's clothes or looks or tone by some. I think you'll see Barack Obama do exactly what you want once he locks up the nomination on March 4.
She's done. An informal poll of my students in class today went 90% for Obama, if it were true that HRC is behind the "Turbin" attack.

I just don't get it. Why is this called a "Turbin" attack? What's the big deal? If he wore it and there's a picture, so what? What's he afraid of?
If it is not "true" that HRC is behind the "Turbin" attack, how is that proven?
Drudge = Fox News. Who in the Democratic party really cares what he posts?

Only if you weren't homeless, or in prison for smoking pot. I doubt the parents of the children killed in Waco on his watch cared much for him.
But hey, the Pet Rock was popular too.

are these students registered to vote?
I certainly hope so.

yeah, but not worse than asking if he needed another pillow and implying he was anti-semitic. Denounce? Reject? whatever.
Obama outclassed her all the way.
And who whines about getting the first question? WTF?
You can tell people are afraid when the candidate is simultaneously compared to McGovern and GWB and the GOP'ers.
