Got one of those calls from the DSCC the other day...

DSCC: Hello, I'm so and so from the DSCC and we're working to expand the House Democratic majority blah blah blah and can we count on your support today for $100? $25?

Me: Hey, that sounds great. Who are y'all running against Jimmy Duncan down here in the Tennessee 2nd?

DSCC: Uhm, well, uh, we haven't gotten that detailed yet on the candidates and... uh...

Me: OK, well get back to me when you have a candidate and I'll be all in.

What a coincidence....

I was all set to cast my stone for a good Democrat when Mike Huckabee gave me a call.....

Actually, I didn't waiver at all, but what in the world did I do to get on his list?

He called us too. The only

He called us too. The only thing I could figure out was that we have occasionally voted in Republican primaries.

The call from Huck wasn't as weird as the fact that somehow back in the 90s I got on Orrin Hatch's mailing list. I got stuff regularly from old Orrin for years.

You have assured yourself of

You have assured yourself of never getting a call back from them. Because Republicans, Real Democrats and Independents alike all love Jimmy Duncan.

Great response

Great response Randy.
I'm all for the 50 state strategy. Challenge in every district. You may not win but you will force the opponent to expend resources (that might otherwise be spent elsewhere)and can help guide the political conversation towards a more sane position.
If there's any one thing to love Dean for it's this strategy.

Speaking of weird political calls, I got one from the Mittster! What did I do to deserve that?

What exactly is a "Real

What exactly is a "Real Democrat"?

With appropriate apologies

With appropriate apologies to Chris Lugo, who's got a great platform, the Dems should have run a properly-funded candidate against Lamar!, also. Even if said person wouldn't win, it could give somebody some badly needed name recognition.
