Noting the Brian's Blog logic that voters rejected Scoobie Moore's bid for County Clerk because they wanted him to continue his great service on County Commission, a reader wonders how this logic might be applied to other races and offers some suggestions:
Fred Thompson - clearly voters feared as President they could no longer watch him on 'Law and Order'.
John Owings - voters know Knoxville desperately needs more lawyers in private practice.
Make up your own, post them in comments. (Keep it clean!)

How 'bout: Scott Moore
How 'bout:
Scott Moore wasn't elected Knox County Clerk because a clerk is needed in Halls. At Kroger's.
Yes, but it was pretty
Yes, and it was pretty funny.
perhaps
Though I do believe it's actually just Kroger.
Brian Hornback: He didn't
Brian Hornback: He didn't get picked to be a delegate to the national GOP convention because voters wanted him to reduce his carbon footprint by staying at home and watching it on teevee.
Lee Tramel - because voters
Lee Tramel - because voters who get served want it to be done in the most fiscally responsible manner possible.
Voters rejected Rudy
Voters rejected Rudy Giuliani because they needed him to go back to 9/11 so he could change everything.
Voters rejected Mitt Romney because they needed him available to the Chinese to help manage the impending leveraged-buyout of the United States.
No, voters rejected Romney
No, voters rejected Romney because they wanted him to be available in case the U.S. wanted to bid on hosting another Olympics.

Randy needs to have cubes.
This is fun and easy!
Conservatives reject Hillary because her husband committed adultery. Oh wait... They really do!
OK, OK. Conservatives reject her because she was unsuccessful making Wal-Mart a progressive business...
Damn! Brianbloggin' is hard work!
The FIGHTIN' 9th!
Voters rejected Tim Greene so they'll have him to challenge Pinkston for the 9th district's prized seat "B" in 2010.
Whew!
challenge Pinkston Oh, my,
challenge Pinkston
Oh, my, what choices!
An anecdotal report re. an 83 year old South Knox resident who had been trying to follow all this crap. He had the sample ballot and voter guide out going over who all needed throwing out and marking up this and that. At one point he said he was just disgusted with the whole mess and had decided he wasn't going to vote.
Yesterday I was told he changed his mind and went down to the polls to cast one and only one vote: For that Brown guy, just to make sure that Greene guy wouldn't get elected.
The Highest and Best use for Rudy?
Voters rejected Guiliani because they want him take control of and inspire Blackwater to have a more active role here at home.
P.S. God, I sure hope that was a far-fetched, satirical remark not a prophesy!
Democrats rejected Harold
Democrats rejected Harold Ford Jr. because they enjoy seeing him regularly on Fox News, blaming the base for the shortcomings of the party.

Democrats rejected Edwards
Democrats rejected Edwards because a. he needs to return to the courtroom or b. his future lies in modeling. You pick.
Tennesseans rejected Al Gore for President because he had become too liberal...uh, no...so he could keep on protectin' the environment, yeah, that's it.
Voters rejected
Scott Moore because they wanted him to stay in Halls instead of the C&C Building.
Voters Rejected Moore...
...so he could stay on as Chairman. Oh, wait....
Mitt-quit'em cont'd.
Romney quit the race because in-party fighting would be counterproductive while the country is at war.
UPDATE: I'm now getting word that he actually said that.
Richard Cate was spared service on CC...
So that he could apply for a TIF to develop his vacant lot in Burlington and continue to vote in city elections.

Why does Brian have such a big head?

Uh oh...

Now you know....

Holding hands with Scoobie?
Sweet.
Holding hands with
Holding hands with Scoobie?
Sweet.
Truth is,
I didn't disproportionally scale the two heads relative to each other. Here's the original. It's actually not a bad photo. Brian's head just happens to be about 50% bigger than the Scoob's.
Merv Griffin always said that a freakishly large head was a sign of greatness. Merv had a huge head though... as does Pat Sajak, Vanna White, Chuck Woolery, etc. and most of the other people he selected for stardom (or whatever his idea of greatness was).
Anyway, I guess should have added the obvious caption:
Voters rejected Scoobie Moore's bid for County Clerk because they wanted him to be able to join his B.F.F., Brian, in outer space.
Truth is
Brian's head is what it is, it Big and full of something!
