Thanks goodness the Dem's have made healthcare an issue; quotes like the above symbolize ideology v. pragmaticism. Our President evidently believes that it is best for someone to wait until they are so sick that the ER is their best option. Not only is an advanced disease state much more expensive than preventative care, the ER costs of those who cannot pay for their care is *shifted* to those that can. Unbelievable.

What I find disgusting about the GOP's health plan is they want to give people tax write-offs to purchase insurance. You have to make a certain amount of money to even have a write-off benefit you.
