Looks as if Derrick and Rob's FunHouseRock.com domain expired yesterday. That's the site that hosts KnoxBlab.com. Good luck getting back up and running, guys.

Really? I'm still not getting in. Nostalgia & ghosts of Blabsmas past. I surfed the google results for "knoxblab" a little while this morning and walked around in the old yahoo group site from July '05 when Bubbablab went down.

I was there yesterday, and saw a woman shopping in her bathrobe, complete with matching slippers. It was the light blue with clouds combo. And it was the middle of the day, quite light outside.
And, today I ran in for something after church, and as I left, I encountered another woman in her pajamas. She did have on her coat over them....

I think he means that the site pages were still cached inside the browser, meaning, that even though the site is offline, the pages were still showing up in his browser.
Maybe the IP was cached in my DNS server or my PC, or the domain name records were cached in my ISP's DNS server.
I flushed my local DNS cache and it doesn't work any more. Or, maybe the DNS records expired from my ISP. I don't know.
I can still reach their server by the IP address, but the forum software doesn't appear to like it if you come in that way.
So, I don't know.

As for a civilian explanation, their phone number was ripped out of the great Internet Yellow Page in the sky because they didn't pay The Man, but if you still knew their phone number you might have been able to get through to them for a while before word got out to the The Man's corner workers.
I told spiney I was doing ok from the withdrawel shakes but the bouts of sweating are just not proper for a southern lady to be having...therefore, I am having blab glistenings.
You're just posting because (I think) your dns servers haven't noticed that knoxblab is down. Or something. Me could probably elaborate.
Essentially, Rob & Derek forgot to renew funhouserock.com. Probably once they get online (Wednesday?) they will notice this and be able to renew the domain (sometimes you can after it's expired, sometimes you can't). Either way, knoxblab.com is owned by Ian and is fine. But right now most people can't get it, and those who can won't for long - their ISPs just haven't noticed that funhouserock is down.
I've thought about setting up a phpbb forum (vbulletin costs $) for the interim, but only the people who check here would notice, so I don't guess it matters much. And few peopl will be online the next few days anyway.

It's a good thing Ian still owns knoxblab.com.

The above link is still working. Guess metulj is right, it's cached or something.
There are posts today from just a few minutes ago, so some folks are still getting through.
The IP comes back to 65.254.250.102

If you cach KnoxBlab, I suggest a few shots of whiskey and bedrest. You should be over it by Christmas.
Have a Merry one!
Is it somehow related to the winter solstice?
Just wonderin'
Anyway, I need to kick my Blab monkey addie.
It is one of my resolutions.
But tis' Christmas, and I didn't want to kick it right jest now.

That don't work in the long run.
So is it still working for some and not for others? Or is it just down completely? I feel so disconnected.
And Christmas Eve to boot.
The air was cold and wet,
and a fog swirled about.
The Blab was down.
T'was dead, it seemed.
But, in the distance, a red light appears...
And a snort,
yes, a snort is heard through the fog...
A snort like the kind a raindeer would make...
or is it reindeer. I get confused sometimes...
Here sukee, sukee, sukee...
I think it's the Christmas goat.

Tess, so you were planning to quit blabbing anyway, just not yet?
I told spiney I was doing ok from the withdrawel shakes but the bouts of sweating are just not proper for a southern lady to be having...therefore, I am having blab glistenings.
I'm getting it fine, and can post.
I just posted in the "blab Junkies" thread.
Anyone see it?

WAIT.
Rob (or Derek) just updated today.
Funhouserock should be back online tomorrowish.
But, I "will keep my Christmas humor to the last."
A sad Christmas eve, indeed.
