Deputy Property Assessor Parkey Strader resigned today over disagreements with his boss about the upcoming election. Strader has been with the office for nearly 40 years.

You need a flowchart to follow it all, but behind-the-scenes maneuvering by Strader's term-limited boss regarding pending appointments and next year's elections have raised questions about possible new Sunshine Law violations. Needless to say, Scooby's name comes up.

Could that mean one lobster

Could that mean one lobster tail dinner ($50) and 10 days of lost freedom for one or more public servants?

Maybe some professional psychologists should be enlisted to overcome what seems to have become habit. Is there such a psychosis as 'habitual scheming?'

This is like trying to teach a fish to walk. They apparently just cannot grasp it. I guess the attempts to disable the Sunshine Law under the guise of 'clarifying' it are on what their hopes lie.

Help the voter

Is there some way that the voters can be reminded of all of this stuff? This is just simply getting ridiculous. There isn't this much drama on Days of Our Lives.
