Dollar

I never thought about the Canadian dollar being worth more than the US. A few years ago it was $0.65. Now it's testing $1.10.

How about the sunburnt

How about the sunburnt splendor of the Australian dollar?

(link...)

1 U.S. dollar = 1.08719287 Australian dollars

When I went on my honeymoon in 2003, that was more like US$1 = AU$.60.

The dollar is even sinking against the Peruvian sol. Yikes.

I heard everyone's going for the GOLD now.

Gold prices are rising fast. The USA dollar will soon be so low it soon won't be able to by a Chiclet in Mexico. This winter should really be fun. I already feel hungry.

The thing I don't understand

The thing I don't understand about all these people running radio commercials to sell you gold is, if it's so valuable why do they want to get rid of theirs and sell it to you?

Heckofa job, Bushies!

Pay no attention to anything other than the Dow and one unemployment number. Nothing to see over there. Damn America hatin' furiners.

one unemployment number One

one unemployment number

One unemployment number, issued by the Bush administration. I don't believe anything that guy says or anything coming out of any agency he has authority over.

There is anecdotal evidence that unemployment is low, if you work in the fast food industry. They're offering premium wages and still can't fill spots. Not sure about manufacturing and professional jobs. Somebody check India, China, and Mexico.
