117 people voted yesterday, bringing the total early vote for the City of Knoxville election to 881, about 1% of registered voters. Only 47 people voted Saturday. Early voting continues through Wednesday, with extended hours (10AM to 8PM) at all locations.

Sandra Clark says the city is spending too much money to elect one at-large city council seat. So do your part to at least lower the cost per vote.

She also says local elections should be consolidated with state and county elections. I agree. But, as she notes, special interests won't like the higher turnout.

Well, I was one of the 117, so I've done my bit. Interestingly enough, when I got home from voting Joe Bailey was on my front porch campaigning.

Doubtful that much can be done for this election. Three uncontested offices and two guys running for one that few voters have ever met.

As I mentioned during the primary, I can't find anything on City webpage concerning the current election. I just went to the Knox County Election Commission to find the address of the early voting site in South Knoxville (I usually vote at the courthouse) and had to click several pages down to find the listing of early voting sites.

By the way, for the record voting continues through Thursday, Nov. 1.

Stan, there's a link to the early voting sites page in the original post! :)

Randy,

I appreciate your posting the link; however, for the average voter, myself included, Knox Views is not the first place I would look to for that information.
