Just saw Carol on Gene Patterson's Sunday program.

I did not know she was retiring as director of the
Police Advisory & Review Committee(PARC).

PARC was started by Mayor Ashe because the relationship between the Knoxville police department & the black community was very strained.

Carol is the only director PARC has ever had & will be sorely missed.

GREAT JOB CAROL!!

PS:If you're not doing anything till Labor Day there's a job opening in your district for county commission.

Carol Scott

Carol has been outstanding. Always fair and unafraid to be candid with either side on any issue. She'll be missed.

I don't know her so I can't say....

I do remember the young man killed at the Wiegels...reaching for a cellphone. That was obscene and nothing was done about it. I use to stop at that Wiegels from time to time. I haven't lately and that may be a reason why I don't.

Weigles, the law

I was putting off getting gas Fri. out of laziness and frugality and my car stalled on Summit Hill. About 5 kind guys were walking down the sidewalk and pushed me up there. The students waved and left and the homeless I think feigned a little tiredness and asked for a coke, but I got them one. It was a blessing they were there, but I try not to use that Weigles, its worse than the Felini Krogers. On the subject of injustice, I was very pleased that the Ga. kid will not have to serve 10 years for oral sex and is home. He was an honor student. I hope he can continue his education. The state of Ga. should pay for it imo. I think his situation was more outrageous than that of the Jenna 6.

I've never had a problem

I've never had a problem with the Fellini Kroger, though I do hate the parking lot, and I wish the recycling bins would get dumped more often.

There was also the time the nice older woman asked me if I could take her to the end of the street. I asked her what street and she indicated Broadway. I declined to help her even when she told me, "They'll kill me!" I might have taken her seriously if she hadn't gotten even more angry that I was quite willing to both call the cops for her as well as wait with her for the cops. I googled later just out of curiosity to see where the end of the street was, and if she did indeed mean Broadway then she was certainly not getting a ride to Florida with me.
