First the media finally picks up on them killing civilians. Now it comes out they have been evading taxes even after the IRS warns them to pay up!

Rotten but not too surprising

Blackwater like the President believes they are above the law. Isn't everyone who is fighting terrorism in lock-step with the Republicans above the law?

I hope they throw the book at them, but I doubt it.

RE Blackwater (and Verizon):

RE Blackwater (and Verizon): isn't it our government we should be jumping on to control these problems? The US government is allowing Blackwater to get away with these atrocities. The US government is manipulating Verizon to provide cell phone usage information. Is it that Congress and the people are too timid to face GW and his cronies?

Yes, I think that's it and also weariness

It took me awhile to realize that most of our elected officials now have no sense of ethics or little devotion to justice and law. That includes both parties. It is a bit of a shock I think for a lot of people to accept that Democrats are stepping right along with the President and the Republicans to sell us down the road. They make minor gestrues, but basically they're not speaking for the majority. This is very scarey because what then can people do? 3rd party canidates off no real chance for change. Movements like MoveOn etc. are also getting on my nerves. They are good at airing complaints, but what real effect do they have? The National Democratic Party hasn't been very good communicators either, I only hear from them with sugar-coated news or because they want money. It gets tiring to try to sort it all out, and it takes a lot of time to dig for the truth. In light of all that, just exactly HOW can people stand up to such a formidable forces? I don't think they know how. I think that's why they're so frustrated. I know I am.
