President Bush was in Memphis?

Looks like Lamar was NOT interested in having his picture taken with President Bush. It's a stark testament when the President of the USA comes to town for a fundraiser, only raises $600,00 for a sitting Senator, and it doesn't make the news.

I moved to Memphis recently and, of course, it was covered here, and yes there were protesters. It was another of those fund raisers where the tax payers footed the bill. Bush gave some kind of insignificant award, no offense to the kid that received it, while he was here, so it would be an official trip allowing the tax payers to foot the air force 1 bill.

On a side note, if you guys think the Knox County government is messed up, you should check out Memphis city.
