Actually we are about 30 miles southeast of the eye right now. Yesterday morning it was a little disturbed weather in the Gulf; Went to bed expecting a rainy tropical storm, woke up at 3:00 turned on the tube and the first thing I saw was Hurricane Humberto update. OH CRAP! Not bad here though, 40 mph winds and a lot of rain. Told my mother in Dante last night that I would try to send some of this rain her way.
Main point is I am sure glad that Global Warming is a farce. These things might get quick and bad if the Gulf waters were any warmer.

No damage to photograph here. Reports are Beaumont and Port Arthur TX. have some trees down and a few roofs damaged. Not very bad though. The local news media is having orgasms though. One reporter "coming to you from flood ravaged Port Arthur" with cars going through about 10" of water on the street. Comical.

Glad to hear that.

Yeah, saw some of the obligatory "idiot standing out in the wind and rain" coverage on CNN this morning. He had on waders and was standing in that 10" of water.
