Russ McBee has filed his first blog post re. KNS coverage of the trial. It's a good analysis of problems with the reporting right off the bat.

I'm not sure I agree* with Russ, though, that the background info re. two commissioners mentioned in the article is irrelevant. It's an example of a) commission not doing due diligence on the nominees, and b) the lack of any official public forums or hearings or any other vetting of the nominees, both of which sort of go to the heart of the KNS lawsuit.

(I certainly agree that the way this information was reported and the comparisons made, however, were out of bounds.)
