One thing you can count on - Lumps always finds a way to shift any topic back to Lumpy. I was taking a phone call in the hall on the 31st so I got to see/hear some of the action 1st hand. Lumpy was indeed involved in cutting deals as were several other elected officials and lobbyists. It was very disturbing to watch and I wish I hadn't seen any of it. Seeing a group of politicos run from a TV camera and hide behind columns left me asking myself....where are we going and why am I in a handbasket?
I haven't watched the whole thing yet, but just from the selected parts I saw I think anyone who sees it will pretty quickly figure out who's the clown.
Somebody should ask Lumpy to spell "quorum", much less explain what it means, much less what it means with regard to the state sunshine law.
Can't wait for his testimony on cross examination...
Dorothy Bowles (came on after Schmid and Lambert) reading of the law seems to make it pretty clear the County Commission's 'quorum' argument is not going to fly.
I do believe I'd have to give that round to Schmid.
