While I like Panera for its pastries and breads, I must say they have about the worst coffee in town, worse even than McDonald's (which has improved of late).
Panera also has the bad habit of transporting food long distances. If you get there between 8 and 9 am, you'll see an 18-wheeler outside delivering the dough on steel carts. It all comes from Atlanta. Kind of ridulous, but that's the corporate way ..
