I found myself thinking of the upcoming KNS vs Knox County Commission trial scheduled to start on September 11, 2007.
I had a flash of Lumpy Lambert being grilled by Herb Moncier. Will Owings be sweating through that cross examination? Will Scoobie be snearing when questioned by the KNS attorney? What will Pinkston say when asked what he meant by, "it was unanimous between the two of us"?
I wonder if it will be televised? Would Court TV find it worthy of at least a reporter(we have such a colorful cast of characters and it is East Tennessee)?
Can we get it televised on Comcast, Channel 12 so we can watch it at home with a bucket of popcorn?
Will they show clips of the access TV recording?
What kind of questions will they be asking the potential jurors (would anyone employed by the county or relatives employed by the county be tossed out?)
This is going to be real interesting. Wonder how many will show up just to watch the fun first hand?

I was actually thinking of
I was actually thinking of attending the trial until I found out I have to be out of town on Sept. 11. But maybe it'll last longer than one day.
I think it was Larry Clark who made the "unanimous between the two of us statement." Not that it makes much difference.
The law director said they
The law director said they had 50 people on their witness list. Even if they use half of them, it'll take much longer than one day. And doesn't a jury trial take longer anyway?
You got to be kidding, this
You got to be kidding, this trial is actually going to start on 911. Thats got to be significant, it can't be by accident.
Yes, it's an accident. This
Yes, it's an accident. This trial will take 3 weeks, minimum. I suspect it will take the better part of a week just to pick the jury. The date was most likely picked because that was when the judge had his first jury panel available, and had time on his docket for what will undoubtedly be a very long trial.
The date is a nice coincidence, but that's all.
How Can Fansler Be the Judge
How can Fansler be the judge on this case... is he not an important witness... was he not the judge who swore in Chucky... quickly and quietly so he could go vote for Lee Tramel???
How will Fansler rule.... on these important questions... what did he know and when did he know he would be swearing in Chucky ahead of all the other new appointments???
Anyone know the answer to this question???
