As election season starts to heat up, Atrios points to this site, run by the Louisiana Democratic Party.
It's a link-a-palooza for the writings of GOP candidate and current Louisiana Congressman Bobby Jindal, who is running for the office of governor *.
Political hardball. Ouch. It's getting ugly early.
(My observation: Not to question anyone's religious sincerity, but it is nigh impossible to win state-wide in Loozian' if'n you're not Catlick. I doubt Katrina changed that.)
* He's running [comfortably ahead] for governor on the GOP ticket just like he did in 2004, although the support he got from C. Ray Reagan Nagin (D-Mayor, New Orleans) failed to put Jindal past eventual winner, Kathleen Babineaux Blanco.

Rep. Jindal is Catholic. He converted in his teens.
Regardless of his politics or faith, his personal story is a remarkable one.
Rep. Jindal is Catholic. He
Understood. And he wouldn't have a whisker of a chance if he wasn't.
Still, you have to wonder why an aspiring politician, no matter his persuasion, went out of his way to bash people of other faiths in his public writing.
Is it OK to mock the religious if you're religious? Or do you get a pass for calling Protestants "utterly depraved?"
Just sayin'.

Having lived in La. for 15
Having lived in La. for 15 years now and following politics for all of it, Bobby Jindal is going to win. You could even put it in capital letters like:WIN. KB Blanco beat him narrowly 4 years ago and has been savagely attacked since the Katrina fiasco. She has been painted as a total failure by talk radio and the conservative press. (which is all of it except the Times Picayune)Jindal is seen as the guy that should have been elected last time. His biggest opponent is a guy who was a Repuglican the day before he filed for the Governors race but couldn't get R party support because all of it was going to Jindal so he magicly became a lifelong D.
It stinks living in a state rapidly going red.
Jindal is seen as the guy
Who's that - Walt Boasso?
