I guess they must have taken him off the big local station, as I haven't heard him in a while. Replaced him with a slightly milder rightist.

They want some kind of conspiracy charges of their own to counterdict the 9-11, radical-right conspiracy theories we on the left have made known. Unfortunately for them, this theory has nothing to back it up. At least the leftist theories have tons of documented questions fueling their suspicions. Savage (a great name for this dude) is pretty whacky, but I imagine a lot of sheep will flock to his version of this story. In a world full of plump paranoia mosquitoes it's hard not to get bit.

I think he's a fraud

I've always believed that Savage was an agent provocateur, a liberal, progressive, or what have you masquerading as the very stereotype of a rabid right-winger. Everything in his background suggests that his little show is a fraud - that he's playing to the rubes cause it sells on the radio. I can't listen to the man for more than a minute or two before I turn him off in disgust. I'm glad he's off the radio here. If I'm wrong about him, then I agree with tali's comments completely.
