I don't completely

I don't completely understand why some items that are needed for school, like dance shoes, don't make the list but items that are strictly entertainment, like iPods, do. Nobody is going to wear u-g-l-y dance shoes unless they HAVE to wear them.

Limitations?

"The whole thing is a bit crazy with all the limitations."

You mean, like, the "holiday" is limited to just three days per year, while Tennesseans pay the highest combined state and local sales tax rate in the nation, and the highest rate of sales tax on food in the nation, for the other 362? Yeah, I noticed that, too.

Apparently, some folks still haven't.

My personal favorite is

My personal favorite is printer paper is not on the list but multi-purpose paper is on the list.

My second favorite is bridal gowns are on the list but only if it costs less than $100.

My wife is ticked because

My wife is ticked because last fall she used her Old Navy "Stuff and Save Bag" (a 20% off coupon) during the tax free weekend. It hasn't arrived yet this year, but her sister in another state has received a bag.

I told her Old Navy has probably wised up from last year and is delaying their delivery in TN. They don't need it to generate sales this weekend.
