I've never been a huge fan of Hillary Clinton, mostly because she is so calculating and cynical. My guess is that her deepest core principles beyond her ego are in the right place. Ironically, the only time they seem to come out is when she is under attack from the right wing. When just going about her business, Hillary Clinton is an excessively cautious panderer to the safest elements in the American polity, particularly big business. But when the right wing attacks her, she swings back with two fists and defends progressivism with more poise and lucidity than just about any other Democrat. Knowing that a Hillary nomination will assuredly bring on an avalanche of irrational right wing blather, I'm starting to think that she may be the right candidate after all. I'm still a Barack Obama supporter and I will be until he's out of the race. But I'm starting to warm up to the possibility of Hillary Clinton candidacy and a Hillary Clinton Presidency.

The Clintons' greatest strength has always been the utter awfulness of their opponents. What Democrat running for president, or trying to survive attacks while in office, could ask for less photogenic adversaries than Newt Gingrich, Dick Army, Pat Robertson, or Jerry Fallwell? Or now the mid-level neocons at the Pentagon?

Of course, this shouldn't confuse the public into thinking the Clintons are anything other that right-wingers themselves. After all, Bill Clinton ran in 1992 on a liberal platform that included national health insurance. He gave up on it right away and gave us NAFTA, welfare "reform," and school uniforms instead.

Now Hillary is pretending to be anti-war but is also saying--in public, for all to hear--that she can't wait to attack Iran. If the Democrats are foolish enough to nominate her and get her elected, then she'll probably pick up where W. left off and start World War III.

That was an interesting charade Clinton and Edelman pulled off.
All for the purpose of trying to make Hillary look more anti-war. They (PNAC/AIPAC) know the Repigs don't have much chance of regaining the whitehouse. Hillary is the closest thing to a Repig the Dems have in the race.
They also know that the anti-war vote will win the Dem primary. So to fight off Edwards, they now have to spin Hillary as anti-war.

In the video, Hank inquires of Hillary as to ending the war.

Plante said to Hillary:

"what can you personally do to stop the war".

Hillary said:

"we're doing all we can to change course".

She's being backed by Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes. She's backed by CitiGroup, she will not end the war, she will not quash the Patriot Act, she will not break the status quo.

We're being force-fed Hillary Clinton, people. Open your eyes.
