State Sen. Ward Crutchfield, who pled guilty to a felony last week, will resign in "due time" according to his lawyer.

It has to be before Nov. 4th in order to trigger a special election instead of an appointment by Hamilton County Commission. I guess the question is, why hasn't he resigned already?

That's a great question, he should go already. I guess loitering around after announcing a resignation isn't limited to the local shady gop here in Knox Co.

Also looks like Bowers is pleading guilty after some months of denying her culpability. Tennessee politics are really stinking it up these last couple of years.
