In case some of you never saw this. It seemed appropriate for the 4th of July weekend.

The 23rd Sigh
Bush is my shepherd; I dwell in want.
He maketh logs to be cut down in national forests.
He leadeth trucks into the still wilderness.
He restoreth my fears.
He leadeth me in the paths of international disgrace for his ego's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of pollution and war,
I will find no exit, for thou art in office.
Thy tax cuts for the rich and thy media control, they discomfort me.
Thou preparest an agenda of deception in the presence of thy religion.
Thou anointest my head with foreign oil.
My health insurance runneth out.
Surely megalomania and false patriotism shall follow me all the days of thy term,
And my jobless child shall dwell in my basement forever.

Digging around the US Dept of Labor web site , it seems to me that if anyone out there has an unemployed kid hanging around the basement it is probably because the poor thing is just plain worthless.
Nonfarm payroll employment increased by 157,000 in May, and the unemployment rate was unchanged at 4.5 percent, the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported today.
Which, after the recession brought on by the tech bubble, Wall Street accounting scandals and 9/11, leaves the unemployment rate just .3% above the best produced by Our Greatest Living President.™
Look, until the US follows international standards for accounting for un(der)employment (i.e. one person having 3 part-time jobs does not mean that 3 jobs were created) the BLS is the most full of shit government data producing agency.

But IF they are following the same standards, whatever they are, across Presidential administrations, then at least the comparison between administrations is fair.
Actually, the US cooks most social metrics. Birth rates. Death rates. Crime rates. Inflation. You name it. They don't use these things for anything other than PR purposes.

Carole- This is categorized under "Lord's Prayer." This isn't taken from the Lord's Prayer, it's taken from
the 23rd Psalm, which you correctly refer to in the title, in the Old Testament.
The Lord's Prayer is in Matthew 6:9-13 and begins "Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be your name...." They are two different prayers.

Back to house painting...
Wow. You linked to the current population survey. Just to the survey, nothing else. Whoa. Stunning. What the fuck were you trying to say?

That's what our friend was trying to say.

I'm guessing he was trying to say this:
