The Riverside Tavern is still open. Apparently the Ruth's Chris Steak House takeover has been delayed, at least for a while. We are told that Riverside will remain open under the current setup until at least July 1st.
UPDATE: Another source says the end of this month is it for Riverside. And either way, there are concerns about getting the renovations done in time for U.T. Football season.

We stopped by for dinner
We stopped by for dinner last night before the Jim Thompson film showing. It was sadly disappointing. The Mrs.'s dish was undercooked, mine was OK but nothing special.
The service was good when our server was around, but he wasn't around much and disappeared for long periods. When he did finally come around and we pointed out that the shrimp weren't fully cooked, he offered to get more but by then we were finished and ready to leave. At least they comped her order.
It seems like they are just phoning it in now and running out the clock.
