First the dog food, now the toothpaste. Buyer beware..

"Diethylene glycol, a poisonous ingredient in some antifreeze, has been found in 6,000 tubes of toothpaste in Panama, and customs officials there said yesterday that the product appeared to have originated in China."
What's up with China? They sure are lax in what they're sending out as exports. Notice that the USDA is looking into it. Will this be like the pet food where the onion keeps on peeling away? The fact that they obviously have the power to contaminate and disperse food that could kill worries me.

Now, Carole, you're not showing the proper faith in globalized, "free" trade. NAFTA and GATT and all those other wonderful trade-related acronyms have created billions of high-paying jobs, I tell ya. We should be grateful for all the cheap landfill plastic crap we can now import from China tariff-free! It's capitalism's finest hour, baby. Get with the program!
We're not supposed to note those unfortunate times when food products get contaminated. We should just lie back and think of England.
And then go brush our teeth.

Sence you seem to have concern over what is put into foods and toothpaste. Please research what the FDA has approved in are foods, toothpastes and drugs. Go ahead go to googles.com and type for example bad chemicals in cow milk, floride in toothpaste, or waht chemicals are put into the meats you eat. Do that and you will realize that china is the least of our worries. Please anyone that reads this just google it.
Maybe there was really nothing wrong with the dog food and toothpaste. Perhaps dog food and toothpaste was the United States’ first, preemptive, strike in the Chinese war.
Now if you really want to get paranoid and have the urge to start growing your own food and making your own cleaning products, watch World According to Monsanto.

You know, it could be the same toothpaste found with poison in the US June 2007.
Now, my theory is that we are already at war with China.
