How to make sense of the re-zoning (at least in Farragut)
When I first looked at the re-zoning for Farragut High School, I was very confused by the sections of town that were re-zoned to HVHS. I thought there had to be a reason behind the madness, so I did a little research.
I must admit that I haven't done any more that a name/address search on the internet, so I could be wrong. If I am wrong, then I'll have to start seaching for "truth" again. Anyway, here is what I did...
Search for Karen Carson. Look at the street address. Look at the zoning. At last! Things make sense!
Sales tax increase? Property
Sales tax increase? Property tax increase for the Sheriff's pension? I can see one...maybe. The real kicker is which group is more in the public's doghouse right now: School board or Knox Commission?
