Hey, thanks for the link-back on the cookery.

I got ambitious last night and made a chicken & andouille gumbo from scratch, so it'll be a couple of consecutive nights of big eating. And while the pot was simmering, I went ahead and put together the bread pudding so it could soak overnight. It should be good & glutenous by the time I get to putting it in the oven tonight.

(I'd have gotten a King Cake, but shipping was pretty outrageous. It was $40 even for 2-day.)

I'm seriously considering going in April during the spring DNC meeting. My wife is already committed to go, so maybe we can make a weekend of it.

If it's too damned depressing, maybe we'll make our way out toward Lafayette...
