Tell us again, Mr. Bush, about how this new government will be the salvation of Iraq. Or is this more faulty intelligence?
BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) - - A man sentenced to death in Kuwait for the 1983 bombings of the U.S. and French embassies now sits in Iraq's parliament as a member of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's ruling coalition, according to U.S. military intelligence.
Jamal Jafaar Mohammed's seat in parliament gives him immunity from prosecution. Washington says he supports Shiite insurgents and acts as an Iranian agent in Iraq.
I guess Knox County is lucky in a way; our new "parliament" doesn't have quite so checkered a past.

nerves of a cheerleader
Do pinheads who use words like "retreatist" have any comprehension of the fact that the goal of terrorism is to elicit an irrational overreaction from a much more powerful foe? It's David hoping Goliath takes a blind swing, falls and hurts himself. George W has played right into the terrorist hand.
Iran has a couple hundred thousand Americans in range of its weapons and army, and they have better control over Iraq than we do. The United States Congress will not start the war with Iran, and neither will George W. They need to add another minute or two to the Doomsday Clock, because the odds of the U.S. making a nuclear strike in the next year are higher than they have been since the Bay of Pigs and the Cuban embargo.
Bush's anorexic foreign policy is about to purge. Daddy only got the prime minister of Japan, but Shrub has most of the Republican party genuflecting before him. Smart money is on dry cleaning futures, shoe polish and sand turning to glass.
Iran...
hello my namesake rikki...smile..
Not a surprise Iran would have agents in the Iraqi government, especially agents who have killed Americans in the past. Heck Hezbollah has them, the people who blew up the marine barracks in Lebanon and we've done nothing to bring those people to justice. The Bush administration only goes after select targets and not all the bad guys, then accuse dems /libs of coddling the same terrorists the repubs won't do anything about. It's so silly it's maddening...
divide and conquer
It's so silly it's maddening...
Yep. America has been divided into liberal and conservative and conquered by corporate kleptocracy.
