Scott Moore and R. Larry Smith are holding a "commissioners' night out" Tuesday, Jan. 23, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Halls Senior Center on Crippen Road. Going north on Hwy. 33, turn right at Wendy's.
This is a great chance to talk one-on-one with these two commissioners. -- s.

Actually, there seems to be a deep difference of direction between these two. Larry spoke out yesterday for public involvement, while Scott pushed for a quick decision by commissioners. -- s.

I do think this meeting is just a "dog and pony" show..no pun intended. Most of the public thinks they had their minds made up on whom was getting appointed the day after the ruling. Unfortunately, most of the public will just sit back and say "there's nothing we can do about it" and let it go at that.
I am just hoping come 2008 all of these bums will get voted out, but then again I thought the same in 2006.

Well, unless somebody shows up and tells them differently, they will believe no one cares. Which is why I keep inviting folks to this public forum. -- s.
Don't mean to be too bent out of shape, but aren't their minds already made up (or have been made up for them) for the folks getting appointed?

I stand corrected. Good for public involvement.
