I hear there are some nice restaurants out at Turkey Creek. Right, Les? ;-)

I don't know how far west is to far but there's a nice Chinese restaurant close to Oak Ridge called the New China Palace. It's on the Clinch river next to the Oak Ridge Rowing Association. Good food with a large dining room and a separate meeting room, don't know how long they will stay open though! I think they serve alcoholic beverages.

Any one of the many fine brew pubs out west would be fine with me. Any one of them...
And Oak Ridge worries me. There don't seem to be enough escape routes out of that town. I mean if the authorities were to find out about us and we had to make a break for it...well...
Hey, Quit defaming my home town...(well, sorta, I jut moved outside of the city limits, but after 20+ years of living there, I still consider myself a Atomic City boy.)
New China Palace is ok, they do serve drinks, but the food is nothing to write home about. My dad had his 77 birthday there, and I was not crazy about their service or food. Its not bad by any standard, but I am sure its not worth a 45 to hour drive for some folks.
Hey, its great for me if you guys and gals have it there, Its a 5 min drive for me.
I've been requested to move the bash out to the west for a change, and someplace a little more family friendly.
We're going to Disneyland!

I am just looking out for the rest of the folks

Calhouns at I-140/Pellissippi and Kingston Pike maybe? That might be convenient for some folks (especially from over here in Blount Co.).
I'm guessing anything in Turkey Creek is right out.
I'd have said Bailey's (which actually has pretty good food), but if Barley's isn't family-friendly enough then Bailey's definitely isn't.
Calhoun's is probably a good choice. They have a bar area separate from the restaurant area.

It's so nice of you all to arrange this party for me on my Birthday!
Calhoun's at I140 and Kingston Pike would work for me.
Be a blessing to someone today.
Calhoun's would work. I'm playing Mr. Mom that weekend so I'll have the little with me.
It sounds like we have a winner.
Calhoun's it is.
