What is it with this guy and shopping?

His press conference covers the war on terror, increasing the "permanent" size of the Army and Marines, difficult choices, and shopping?!?!?

I will never understand how this "war on terror" has changed us forever, how our lives will never be the same, how we must win this war in Iraq and, as he said after 9/11, we as Americans must shop. I guess we shouldn't worry our pretty little heads about these issues. How many people in this country even know that 69 of our soldiers/sailors/airmen/marines have died this month, 2,958 since the war began, and 3 years and 9 months after the war began there have been 25,000 American military casualties.

Consumer spending (and credit card debt) is what's keeping the economy afloat, pretty much. Things would get ugly pretty quick if folks decided to tighten their belts.
