Just so you know I am NOT StaceyD's Cat. I think people should at least use their first names here. Hiding behind cutsey screen names is as bad as anonymous posting. Stacey

letting people know who you
letting people know who you are didn't work out well for metulj.

Can't we all just get a long gun?
This may be the most
This may be the most strangely timed post in KnoxViews history.
Once again, it is the message not the messenger. I don't need to know who you are. All I care about is what you write.
Anonymous is fine by me. I
Anonymous is fine by me. I do think some people may be relating StaceyD's Cat to StaceyD(iamond). Of course, I could be wrong.
I am more interested in what
I am more interested in what you say than who you are, up to a point, of course. I would never have confused the toughts of a cat with anything posted here.

apology
Sorry. I guess if one quickly reads part of a name without looking at all of it, they might think otherwise. We are not the same. Sorry, again.
I knew StaceyD's Cat was not
I knew StaceyD's Cat was not StaceyD. They speak with different voices, and I think I agree with the cat more. -- s.
I don't have a dog (or cat)
I don't have a dog (or cat) in this fight, but I don't see what the big deal is about at least using your first name. Ultimately, you could always make up a first name anyway, but the first name doesn't really give much a clue about your identity. I know several of y'all's first names anyway & have had drinks with you. But that doesn't tell me where you live or what your phone number is.
I don't care so much about anonymity or not, but that's not really what we're discussing here anyway.
Yeah, well, I think there
Yeah, well, I think there are some sock puppets perpetrating some mischief around these parts.
Again, you know who you are. And I think I have a decent idea.

Speaking of first names . . .
Why do you always add yours to the end of your submissions when it is automatically included at the top and bottom of the post?

First names: Why do you always add yours to the end of your submissions when it is automatically included at the top and bottom of the post?
Yeah! You should conserve more. You're just waisting, uh, waisting...(pssst...What are we waisting, again?)

Electrons, and there not making them anymore.
"Hiding behind cutesy screen
"Hiding behind cutesy screen names is as bad as anonymous posting."
I disagree, and digress from my main point thusly: I use the same principle for (not) answering my phone as I use for posting on the "internets": the people I like, know where I live. On the "internets," the people I like, know who I am. To everyone else, peace and Happy New Year anyway.
Main point: But having a knock-off screen name is - or could be - cool. If only somebody would post as "Hildegard's Fetid Possum Roadkill," or "Hilde's Aborted Deformed Fetus," that would be waaaayyyy cooler. I agree it would be hard to take the Hildegard version of "StaceyD's Cat." I couldn't stand the lameness, and I fully understand your umbrage.
If you're gonna rip somebody off, have some goddamn imagination.
