As a fan of Menckenite splenitude, if there weren't real, terrible consequences from this whacked-out, Catch-22 dumbassery, I might actually miss the Bush era.

If I recall, last year Bush tried to appoint a vet (as in animals, not as in served his country) to this job.  Can't really tell if this guy is an improvement.
