Many Republicans (e.g. TN Gov. Lee. Sen. Hagerty, Sen. Blackburn, Rep. Burchett, to name a few) are preventing U.S. citizens from realizing Covid-19 protections. They don't want to require vaccinations or wearing masks. It would appear they want people to die.
It is especially important to have protections in hospitals and other medical environments. However, these Republicans feel no need to save people from Covid-19 deaths or even a bad illness that can keep some people in the hospital for weeks even months.
Many people who had Covid-19 have long-term symptoms, not knowing if the symptoms will ever go away.
Gov. Lee said just last Friday, December 3, 2021, "The mandates have been temporarily shut down by court order, and I’ve said all along I think the mandate is a terrible idea. Vaccines are the most powerful tool we have to fight the pandemic, but a vaccine mandate is counterproductive, and it shouldn’t be happening..."
How is it we feel when hospital employees who refuse to get a vaccine get Covid-19 and even die from it. How many patients and employees encountered these employees who refuse the vaccine or to wear a mask? How many people will an employee infect before the employee is diagnosed, admitted to the hospital, then die from Covid-19? Are these type of employee actions fair to all the other people this employee encounters? Is it fair that our Republican administrators, Senators, and Representatives endorse this behavior? They are putting many people at risk and they apparently don't care.
I know, I know. I'm preaching to the choir. It is just so frustrating.

I couldn't agree with you
I couldn't agree with you anymore. With the Republicans it's dollars over lives.
I have this feeling that
I have this feeling that eventually the republican base will realize just how wrongly the GOP has lead them astray. They are just to thick headed to accept it until it hits them personally. And I I don't mean personally as in a family member. I know a family who lost their mother to the virus and they still refuse to take precautions.
