Went to the Harold Ford Jr. rally this morning.
Never would have bet this mountain woman would be standing at Five Points listening to a Memphis Ford endorse tax cuts for corporations to create jobs.

Sure you're not talking about this? I've heard him mention it several times in stump speeches. I'd be pretty amazed if he were "in favor of cutting taxes for corporations," given that he's voted aplenty against Bush tax cuts for the wealthy and for balanced budgets.
We should provide tax credits to every U.S.-based business that creates a job in America. Parts of our tax code reward American businesses for leaving the country. We should reverse that policy and reward companies that create jobs here. Companies in Tennessee and throughout America need the support of proactive tax laws that encourage them to stay at home.
Ah, we can cut Sandra some slack for a) going to the Ford rally, and b) posting about it here. And in her own crafty way, she may actually be trying to help Harold out with this post talking about "tax cuts."
And Coach: Sandra can vote a Republican ticket if she wants. Last time I checked, this is still a free country, despite the best efforts of people like you to say otherwise.
(Besides, I voted a straight Republican ticket for the first time: Bredesen, Ford, and Duncan!)

Not a clue who Sandra is, but I think the post about voting was aimed at the MOUNTAIN woman. Anyone have a clue what a MT. woman is?

OH heavens yes she can, but if you will dash back I think she was saying the Mountain Woman was going to vote for Jr.
Come on, all the Mountain women I know live in 400K cabins in the hills around Townsend and yep they be rich cute republican ladies.
If you ever get out to play (golf) Laurel Valley is wonderful, lots of Mountain Woman T it up there, last time I played the former GOv and his wife were behind us and she was flat killing the man!
Bill, did I hear that you just retired? If so, congratulations on a long and successful career in coaching, but praise you most as being a dedicated teacher.

Dude, you really NEED to work on the old reading comprehension.
She said, "Never would have bet this mountain woman would be standing at Five Points listening to a Memphis Ford endorse tax cuts for corporations to create jobs."
Now, if you had paid attention in English class in high school you would have understood that she was speaking about herself in the third person. It's a literary device to draw attention to her central thought that she was listening to a Democrat talk about cutting taxes for corporations.
It's not a bad device to use unless you don't know when to quit, like some other poster of a blog that shall remain nameless, if not third-personless.

That's funny 'cause it's true...almost. I think I shall steal this line and use it at my next family gathering when the Republican branch of my family (suddenly less eager to discuss politics than in the past, by the way. Strange. I wonder why?) asks if I've ever voted for their team.

Well, congratulations to you sir for having a good name.
Wow. It is definitely better to burn out than it is to rust.
Coach caught his intestines in the blender and didn't get to the shut-off switch in time. Fine entertainment.
