Women at the Executive Women's Association meeting Corker attended here today in Knoxville told Corker his ad is demeaning and insulting.
Also related to Betty Bean's previous post about the ad finally being pulled, the article says Ford's lawyers have threatened legal action regarding the "blatantly false and misleading" content of the ad.
UPDATE: KNS has an update re. the ad being pulled as reported by Betty Bean in the previous post. They also have a link to the new ad, and a debunking of the new ad by the Ford campaign.
COMMENTARY: The new ad may be even worse than the "call me" ad. Besides evoking racial taboos (and the lynchings that ensued), the "call me ad" insulted the people of Tennessee by portraying various lame, hillbilly stereotypes. But the new ad is an ugly tabloid shock piece that attacks Ford directly and is full of lies, distortions, and lurid graphics. How low can these people go? Have they no shame? Are these the people you want representing Tennessee in the United States Senate? Not me.
Some pundits are speculating that Ford has some nasty nukes to fire off himself. I hope he isn't baited into doing that. The Corker campaign is digging their own hole. Ford should stay on the high road.
I wouldn't be surprised by anything at this point, though. The sad fact is that these sleazy, despicable ads work. Corker's numbers started inching up once he went in the gutter. Why people respond to that garbage is amazing to me, but they do. On the other hand, when you go all the way down in the sewer it can backfire, as we have seen in the last couple of days -- even in the national media. It will be interesting to see how that backlash shows up in the next round of polls. Anyway, that stuff is kryptonite, and Ford needs to stay away from it.
I am R. Neal and I approve this message.

I think the threatened legal
I think the threatened legal action is over the new ad that is misleading about Ford's votes. I hope they follow through.
Bob Corker has just crossed the line...jungle drums.
oh my God. listen to this.
And this one says Bob Corker approved this message. I am speechless. I don't think either Van Hillary or Ed Bryant would do something this low.
Wonderful "Tennessee values"
Wonderful "Tennessee values" Mr. Corker. No wonder the Frist people called him pond scum.
Corker radio spot makes top of Dkos
Hunter at Dkos weighs in on the new Corker radio spot from TPMCafe. here. Calls Corker's ad racist.
Corker's "jungle drums" ad isn't just "a little bit" racist. It's not something that can be misconstrued. It's flagrant, it's obvious, it's intentional. --Hunter.

Guys - the latest polls were taken before the 'Call Me' brouha. It could yet be the next round of polls show Corker's numbers diving into the gutter, along with the rest of his campaign.
EleanorA
WBIR/SUSA just released a new poll this evening. They show the race at 48% each with 5% undecided. That's a 2 point improvement for Ford I believe.
