Three Hitters - watercolor by Jim StovallLots of good stuff for the sports fan this weekend.

The Vols take on Georgia on Saturday evening in a game that will have a lot to do with how fans on both sides view the 2006 season. What makes it good is that there is genuine doubt about the outcome.

And the day will be full of baseball -- important and exciting games all. Couldn't be better.

So First Inning Artworks celebrates the beginning of the day with a new original work -- Three Hitters. The big guy on the left looks a little like the guy for the red team who's been coming up big all season long.

Enjoy.

Georgia is seriously

Georgia is seriously overrated. It took a call probably more egregiously wrong than the OR-OK onside kick to keep Ole Miss from beating them. It will only be close if we have turnover problems.

A big game off the radar screen is Central Michigan at Toledo. The usual MAC champ contenders are all having off years, and Central Michigan and Kent St are looking good. C. Mich hung with Kentucky for four quarters, and if they can beat Toledo at home, they are looking good for a MAC Championship bid.

MTSU is giving Louisville an early scare right now!
