More on impact of air pollution
from Scientific American ...
Children whose mothers were exposed to high levels of fine particulate pollution in late pregnancy have up to twice the risk of developing autism as children of mothers breathing cleaner air, scientists at Harvard School of Public Health reported on Thursday.
The greater the exposure to fine particulates emitted by fires, vehicles, and industrial smokestacks the greater the risk, found the study, published online in Environmental Health Perspectives.

Not sure why scientific community isn't making more headway. In its absence we're left with guesses and Jenny McCarthy. Both do more harm than good.

Sounds like a headline for Jay Leno.
Particulate matter
Is one of the less understood air pollutants. We know how each particle does damage to the circulatory system, but each particle is also like an "envelope" that can carry other chemicals along for the ride, depending on the source. EPA / health studies reveal new findings every year. Fascinating stuff.
The near-road studies are a new initiative, with the monitoring networks just now coming on line. There will be much better science on this in the next 5-10 years.
(Why does it sound like a Leno headline?)
I know there have been
I know there have been studies of a possible link between childhood inoculations and autism, but has there ever been a study of a possible link between early inoculations of the mother causing her to bare children with autism?

They're all bare in the beginning and there is no flipping correlation between vaccines and Autism.
If this is the case then
If this is the case then wouldn't there have been a lot more autism cases years ago before stricter regulations were put in place?
Unless these particulates are a new ingredients, I'm skeptical.
