We're off to Harriman in a few minutes for my first dog transport in a while. Annie, nee Lucy, is an 8 - 9 month old Rottie who is traveling from Bossier City LA, to a little town south of Raleigh, NC. She overnighted in Nashville last night and will be here at Casa Lulu tonight. Then we will take her to Waynesville, NC tomorrow for the next leg.

And no beast is friendlier than a wet dog.

We have Annie set up in her

We have Annie set up in her suite for the evening. She is quite friendly if a little shy. She's gonna be a big girl, she already weighs 81 pounds, and she did not want to get into that truck. She didn't really want any help climbing into that back seat either.

Here are a few early snaps.

She jumped a frog in the lily

She jumped a frog in the lily pond just now so she will go to her new mama tomorrow without smelling like a dryer sheet. I've already warned her via Facebook. We had a chat thread set up for the transfer and it was very useful. We updated it regularly with her status and photos.

She's a beautiful girl. You are doing the work of the lord.

God, this one's a keeper.

God, this one's a keeper. She is incredibly sweet and so well-behaved. My roomie told me to call SSRR and tell them she has r-u-n-n-o-f-t so he can keep her. I showed him the fine print on the transfer documents.

Well, I don't really believe

Well, I don't really believe in the Lord, but what Pam said anyway.

We hit the road early this

We hit the road early this morning to take Annie to Waynesville - actually to the Canton exit - and just got back about an hour ago. Her new mom Debi took possession of her about 30 minutes ago and is on the way home.
