It's hard to get complacent people out to vote. One needs fear and anger to drive folks to the polls.

But the stock market has been performing this well for a long time. It's a big jewel in Obama's stats, though that doesn't help his traditional supporters or nearly enough of the 99%.
The gas price plunge proves again that most people spend any new savings they get, which is exactly why we needed more federal stimulus and less tax cuts for the rich, who don't produce as much economic activity per dollar received.

I do keep thinking of the KNS letter to the editor just prior to the election that attributed the drop in gas prices to Obama manipulating them for the election, and promised that they would return right after. It appeared among all those common climate denial letters KNS publishes replete with false statistics.
