The Greatest Generation speaks

I was talking to my Dad the other day. He said that this was the most divided he has ever seen our country.

This is a man who grew up during the Great Depression, fought in WWII and was wounded and held POW by the Nazis, prepared a fallout shelter for his family when the Cuban Missile Crisis led the world to the brink of global thermonuclear war, comforted and reassured his family when JFK was assassinated, and worried about his son being sent off to Vietnam.

May God help us find such strength to endure.

There wouldn't be any division if all the liberals would shut the fuck up, die or move to France! 

 In the spirit of bipartisanship, I assume?

 And quit calling conservatives liars when they lie...That would help.

 I wonder if we'll ever see another generation of real men like the one Randy's Father represents?

My dad (part of the same group that saved the world from the huns) says that he "rode the last big wave." 

But, if you think about it, there have been bad times before, and somehow people have survived.  Maybe not at the comfort level we have grown to expect, but still...

I have seen members if this generation that give me hope for the future of America.  I fear, however, that they are a minority.
