What: TDOT Alcoa Hwy Improvement Project-South Knoxville

The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will host a public hearing for the proposed SR-115 improvement project, which begins just north of I-140 (Pellissippi Parkway) in Blount County and ends just north of the Cherokee Trail interchange in Knox County.

The meeting will be held:
June 20, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m
Sevier Heights Baptist Church,
3232 Alcoa Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920 .

This hearing will present the findings of the NEPA Environmental Assessment (EA). The purpose of the meeting is to provide the public with an opportunity for input into the project before a preferred alternative is selected.

This meeting also gives notice of TDOT’s intent to file, as a part of the NEPA process for the project, a Determination of Section 4(f) de minimis use related to the minor use (acquisition) of parklands associated with Marine Park North.
