The Super Bowl is in New Orleans this year. What crazy fun that must be. Who am I for? Don't really know much about either team. Think I'll go for the Baltimore Ravens, East Coast and all.

One of my best friends in the
One of my best friends in the world lives in Los Gatos, Calif., and is a huge 49ers fan. She has season tickets and went to most of the post season games. So, in honor of Lynda, I'm for the 49ers.
But my brother and sister-in-law lived in Maryland for four years and will be rooting for the Ravens today. So if they win, it'll be OK.
Truth be told, I don't much care as I am not a football fan at all. I'm going to be working on a couple of projects for church this afternoon and evening.
I care not. In fact, I have
I care not. In fact, I have dinner plans out for kickoff time.
However, my bil lives in northern California and is a 49ers fan, so in his honor, I guess I hope they win.

oh, yeah...
If I can finish dictating the brief I have due tomorrow...
...I'll go home and watch a little of it. But I'm totally uninvested in the outcome.

I can't imagine sitting through the Super Bowl instead of watching Downton Abbey.
Or, for that matter, paint drying.

They'll repeat Downton Abbey next Sunday at eight. Tomorrow will the only time to be ahead of the loop on the link.

(in reply to fischbobber)
This season's Downton is already in my Netflix queue for this week. I'm just not a football fan.
Enabling TV show addictions.
It's nice to have peers. : )
A friend sent me mpeg copies
A friend sent me mpeg copies of the first Downtons long before they were aired here and I was hooked. He has to be careful not to spoil it for me as he gets it months before we do.
Mpeg copies
I'm going to assume that they are a modern digital, video version of what cassette tapes used to be. It's not easy being technologically ignorant. Every day I look at the PS II and wish I knew how to work it. ;-)
Most smart phones use Mpeg-4
(in reply to fischbobber)
Most smart phones use Mpeg-4 files for video. My friend sent me the much larger 1920p Mpeg-2 files. Quite watchable.
Is it just my setup, or is
Is it just my setup, or is WVLT's broadcast and/or cable feed only stereo? That halftime show was pretty boring except for the special effects. Might have been a little better in Dolby 5.1. I checked all my settings but no luck. #firstworldproblems
