TN House bill prohibits state Medicaid expansion

Rep. Jeremy Durham (R-Franklin) has filed HB82 which "prohibits Tennessee from participating in any Medicaid expansion authorized under the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act."

(Cosponsors are Powers, Matlock, Goins, Farmer, Casada, Ragan, Kane, Floyd, Carr J, Lamberth, Dennis, Rogers, Littleton, Sargent, Womick, Eldridge, White D, Faison, Rich, White M, and Matheny.)

This, in addition to arming teachers and judges.

There is no such thing as a sovereign state. And federal law trumps unless the Supreme Court rules it unconstitutional. Or the state just gives up all the fed funds we get. But I don't believe that would give you any slack.
