Yup.
Although it didn't scare me nearly as much as the one in 73. That one was more like a huge drop, along with a big noise. It happened in the middle of the night and woke us all up.
The first thing my room mate, who was from Oak Ridge, said was "they've bombed Oak Ridge."
The subconscious is an interesting thing.
Earthquake
Sure did feel it. I live outside of Carthage,TN about 65 miles east if Nashville. My house was rockin' and rollin'. It reminded me of when I lived in CA.
Felt it in Maryville, TN.
Felt it in Maryville, TN. Woke me up from afternoon nap. Has to be AT LEAST 4.5. My girlfriend is from CA and has been through quite a few. Said you really can't feel a 4.0 and this shook the entire house. Could hear things shaking and moving around the house and a loud rumble.

Earthquake
Yes. We live in Powell and everyone in my house felt it. It was very mild, but live on a slab foundation. I thought that my husband was shaking the kitchen table and he thought the dog was shaking it and then we both realized it when my younger son came in from another room and asked if we felt the house shaking.
I received an email from the USGS and it seems that Eastern Kentucky had a 4.3M earthquake and we felt it 96 miles away.

I felt it here in Halls. Very strong. Scared me to death. I was on the computer and it sounded like my house was going to collapse. My son is a seismologist. He said that it centered near Whitesburg, KY and was a 4.3. I read where some people felt it in VA and in Raleigh, NC. Very scary indeed and I hope we don't have another one!
Reminded me of my ten years in Cali
Decent bump for a quake here in Tennessee. I am in Karns, TN my son and I felt it and heard it. Felt like maybe someone slammed our big heavy front door as hard as they could.

I was in Concord Park at a 4 year old's birthday party. None of us noticed, but there was a lot of moving and shaking going on around us already.
4th & Gill
I was in 4th & Gill at the time and didn't notice a thing. Maybe I thought it was a truck going by on the interstate, perhaps I figured I was having a senior moment/wobbly legs, maybe those old houses are built real solid.
Waaah, I feel left out. I did have one wake me up from my sleep in South Knoxville one time. That is the sum total of my my earthquake experience.
The Mr. Came outside right
The Mr. Came outside right after the event to check on me. I didn't feel a thing.

Wow!
Mom was in her recliner holding on for dear life, the china was rattling and Misty the wonder poodle barked like no tomorrow. I am thankful that it occurred while in the den with Mom. Usually they happen in the dead of night and you think it was just a dream....then you mention it to someone and they
Say...." you are bonkers!"
To Really Appreciate An ET Earthquake
You have to be the only person studying in the basement of Hoskins Library on a Sunday night when a quake happens close to Lenior City.
I used to be totally creeped
I used to be totally creeped out by the basement of Hoskins. I was almost afraid to go down there by myself.
