Playing Chicken
Since the Reagan revolution, the republican party has been dumping more and more daily expenses of education on the individual students and their parents. You can sell this any way you wish, but it is a huge tax increase on those of us attempting to raise the generation that will be responsible for our care and welfare as we age.
This has affected our ability to accumulate wealth and save, not to mention the lost time we've had with all the overtime that employers take for granted.
The so-called fiscal cliff is nothing more than a bunch of spoiled brats playing chicken with the working class. The reason confidence is up is that middle America finally has someone they believe is in their corner.
