fried pies
last year, a couple were selling both apple and peach fried pies (incredibly good) at the farmers market downtown, but they don't seem to be back this year.

fried pies
My husband and I are the couple who sold the fried pies at the farmer's market at Market Square. We hope to be back this summer. Please feel free to email me if you can not wait until then. I have some apple fried pies in my freezer just waiting to be fried and eaten! Sorry, I am out of the fresh peach until peach season. This year I hope to expand the choices. I am experimenting now! Looking forward to seeing you at the farmer's market.

Alton Brown had an episode
Alton Brown had an episode of Good Eats on Food-TV a couple of weeks ago about fried pies - "Pocket Pies". They're easy to do and a great treat. He even did some with a chocolate filling.

And another thing.
And another thing. Those of you who remember Winders 3.1 remember it included a little database app called cardfile.exe. Well, these folks have an updated shareware replacement called AZZCardfile. One of the great little free databases you can download from them is called Pies4U. 392 pie recipes in the space of 126 KB. Sucha Deal!!!
