NASA and SpaceX launched the first joint commercial space vehicle this morning. The SpaceX Dragon module, launched atop a SpaceX Falcon booster rocket, is in orbit on a demonstration mission. After some testing maneuvers, it will dock with the International Space Station and deliver cargo.

While America no longer has an active manned spaceflight program and NASA is outsourcing ISS cargo deliveries, Russians are shuttling people.
